We are pleased to share that the XVth edition of the Leuven Encounters in Systematic Theology (LEST XV) will take place from 22 to 25 October 2025 at KU Leuven.

📌 Theme: Catholicity, Theology & the University – Conjectures in a Complex World

🎓 Hosted by KU Leuven in collaboration with the Australian Catholic University

Over four days, leading scholars and practitioners from around the world will reflect on the role of Catholic universities today, at the crossroads of theology, science, society, and interreligious dialogue.

Highlights include:

Plenary lectures by renowned scholars such as Stan Chu Ilo, Massimo Faggioli, Helen Alford OP, Francis Clooney SJ, Judith Wolfe, Simon Oliver, Jennifer Newsome Martin, and Andrew Davison.
A panel discussion on Reconfiguring the Catholic University with Lieven Boeve, Maeve Heaney, Jaisy Joseph, and Nicolas Standaert SJ.
An interview and concert by Sir James MacMillan with the Flemish Radio Choir.
Over 100 short papers exploring Catholicity in theology, education, philosophy, religious life, ecumenism, and social justice.

🙏 The conference will also include moments of prayer, cultural encounters, and a closing Eucharist, reaffirming the spiritual and academic vocation of Catholic universities.
